Grado PS-500 

Is de nieuwe Grado PS-500 een "mini PS-1000" of een "mini PS-1" of heeft deze hoofdtelefoon een totaal eigen sound? De Grado PS-500 is wederom een bijzonder ontwerp, een zgn. een hybride ontwerp, waarvan het binnenste gedeelte van mahoniehout is. De zichtbare buitenkant is geheel van (gepoedercoat) aluminium. Deze constructie zorgt er voor dat het bekende Grado-geluid behouden blijft, maar wel op een duidelijk hoger niveau speelt. Uiteraard zorgt de combinatie met een hoogwaardige hoofdtelefoonversterker ervoor dat het best mogelijke resultaat met de PS-500 wordt behaald!

"Grado achieved this minor miracle by applying the lessons learned in constructing the wondrous PS 1000s. While still using mahogany to cover the motors, they added aluminum shells to double dampen the housing and kill vibrations. This sandwich design creates the most neutral performance under $600.
